Large Quantity Lisianthus. #1

$60.00

Shipping for these will be Early March..

And These are our extra lisianthus “plugs” (think little flower starts) that we are selling. This is the larger quantity lots we have available and generally for small scale growers and landscapers but home gardeners too! Good wedding and event colors here. They will be available in early March for shipping and local pickup.. We plant our lisianthus several weeks BEFORE our last frost as they like that cool start so get ready! They will handle 25 degree temps.

They are very easy to grow. Generally animals will not bother them. (I’m looking at you rabbits! )

Selling lots of 50 for 60.00 and these are the long stemmed varieties farmers grow and florists use.. NOT the short stemmed varieties... you might see at garden centers. Each stem will have multiple blooms and they look great in the vase as in the garden. This is the longest lasting cut flower we grow and often last 10 plus days in the vase. Our plugs are dipped in a product that helps protect the roots and it IS PRICEY and a step even some growers don’t do. I never grow, or sell these plugs, without using it.

NOTE: this is the order of the pictures: Voyage 2 Rose Deep, ABC 2 Misty Pink, ABC 2 Misty Blue, Corelli Sugoi 3 Lavendar, Corelli Sugoi 1 White, Corell Sugoi 3 pink, Voyage 2 white, Arena 3 Apricot , Arena 3 Champagne, ABC2 Rose. We usually use group 1 and 2 lisianthus for our season and a few group 3. They are generally ready in July (in Iowa) but of course depends on when you get them planted. last season we had lisianthus clear into early fall and they look great with dahlias.

This is not a flower you want to hold in the tray very long. In several cases, I’m only selling a few lots of these larger lots. The rest go in our fields. If you can’t plant them within a week or so they should be “ bumped “ to larger trays. Also don’t sink the plugs, plant them at the level they are growing in the tray.

If you decide to pick/harvest your flowers this summer you will likely get another “flush” of flowers in the fall. They are very easy to grow in mostly full sun. They will have a little planting/care sheet with them.

These will be small plugs  and local pick up or shipping available. Buyer pays shipping and we will collect forshipping when we get your order packed. All colors are limited and only selling a few lots of each color in these larger sizes.
