Peony bare root/ Lemon Chiffon/

This is beatutiful and unusual peony I grow at my farm. This peony is considered by many to be one of the best yellows. It’s a herbaceous hybrid and lightly fragrant. It will be one of your first peonies to bloom in the spring and in the first few years is a semi-double developing to a full double as time passes. (About 4-years old in the mixed bouquet picture so you can how it has incresed numbr of petals.) It’s about 30-inches tall so plant it in front of taller peonies or other perennials and always plant peonies where you intend they will stay. I notice the strong stems on this peony when we are cutting them in our field and often see it sold for over 65.00 per root.. These roots have many eyes…some more than 10 and are potted up. They are available for pick up in Des Moines and the Boone/Ames area.
