This is Sarah Bernhardt peony and roots are 5/7 eyes at least but many with 10 eyes. . It’s considered a mid-late season peony and is, according to some, the most cultivated peony in the world. The bloom is huge and often 8 inches across and this plant can get big so in a garden you want to put a peony ring on this one. Mostly because the blooms are so big and heavy. The fragrance is amazing. A great wedding flower with strong stems that produces well and as all the peony I grow…it’s a great cut flower. Plant it right and you will have years of great flowers.
