Dr. Alexander Fleming is a very old peony that is named after the man who discovered penicillin. It puts off a huge flower (often 8 Inches across) and is a couple of shades darker than Sarah Bernhardt so it pairs nicely with Sarah. It’s fabulously fragrant. All the things you want in a peony. As with all our peonies plant it where you want it to live for years in at least 6-8 hours of full sun.
